This unique and beautiful airport setting in Blairstown will engage the Jersey Ridge Soaring Glider Rides, Skydive Sussex event, school kids, Runway Café, Haley House and Alina Lodge for an enjoyable day of racing, jogging and walking a 5K or 5 Mile.  Fundraising will help further facilities and programs for those in need of Addiction Treatment.  Little Hill Foundation operating Alina Lodge and Haley House is a 501c3 not-for-profit and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  Funds raised through this event will help keep the daily rate as low as possible, keeping addiction treatment affordable.  A portion of the proceeds will also enhance the Scholarship Programs, allowing those whose financial resources have run out, to complete treatment.  No fund is more important.  Donations have a direct impact on the life of another. On Saturday, May 19th, the Ocean Medical Center Association is holding the 4th "Jogging for John" 5K Walk/Run and Kids' One-Mile Fun Run in loving memory of John J. Dooros. The event will take place at the Brick Township Reservoir. John was a beloved family man, friend, Vietnam veteran, Brick Township educator for over 37 years, and a lifetime resident at the Jersey Shore. In 2011, he lost his long and courageous battle with lung cancer. All proceeds will be going towards the Mother Hen Fund at Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center. This fund was established by John’s radiation oncologist, Dr. Nathan Kaufman.The Mother Hen Fund helps cancer patients with various needs during treatment, such as transportation to and from therapy, so they can focus more on healing, and less on financial challenges. If you cannot make the race or are not able to participate in the walk/ run, donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. We look forward to seeing you at the race on May 19th! 👍🇺🇸

The 08085 Run/Walk/Sit: One mild-mannered zip code … with an event boasting four fantastic options! To kick off your 2018 Fun Day, join us for one or more of the inaugural 08085 Run possibilities. In zip code order, choose from:
1. A 0.8 Mile kids’ run/walk (1.29K) - Course along a flat, paved trail within Locke Avenue Park. Kids ages 5-12 will receive bibs with timing chips, tech T-shirts and finisher's medals. Awards for age groups 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 11-12. Family discounts for 3 or more children from the same famiy. Adults welcome to register to join the kids and walk this event. Walkers receive a bib, tech T-shirt and finisher's medal.
2. A 0K sit (approximately no miles) - Course along a comfortable chair of your choosing. All the stuff - bib, tech T-shirt, and medal - with little-to-none of the sweat!
3. An 8K run (4.96 miles) - Chip timed, mostly out-and-back course, mostly along High Hill Road but only featuring gentle, rolling hills less imposing than the road’s name suggests. Tech T-shirt, finisher's medal, team discount for 5 - 8 runners who sign up at the same time. Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male and female finishers and age group awards, as well as awards for 5th, 8th, 58th, and 85th place finishers.
4. A 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) - Chip timed, less-challenging course, only half on High Hill Road. Tech T-shirt, finisher's medal, team discount for 5 - 8 runners who sign up at the same time. Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male and female finishers and age group awards, as well as awards for 5th, 8th, 58th, and 85th place finishers.

Awards for most children participating in the .8 mile race from the same class, registrants celebrating a 5th, 8th, 58th, or 85th birthday on June 9, and most entertaining running outfit(s).
All profits will be shared by The Kiwanis Club of Greater Swedesboro and the Swedesboro Woolwich PTO for programs that benefit children.

Who benefits?

Aslan Youth Ministries is an organization dedicated to helping children, one child at a time. Aslan is a non-profit organization headquartered in Red Bank, NJ serving urban youth and their families in Monmouth County. Aslan was founded in 1975 to work with Camp Shiloh, an organization serving disadvantaged children in 11 areas in and around New York City. In 1996, Aslan established an outreach in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, West Indies. With Aslan, teens from America traveling to Haiti each summer to run summer day camps for Aslan's children in Haiti. Aslan employs six full-time and one part-time staff member. Over 250 adults regularly volunteer their time and talents to serve as mentors, tutors, youth class teachers, board members, coaches, office helpers, bus drivers and valuable in-kind services in areas such as computer consulting, and pro-bono legal assistance.

2018 Ovarian Cancer Mayors 5K

Please join us on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, as we take to the streets for the Mayor’s 5K Run/Walk to Break The Silence On Ovarian Cancer! The Downtown West Orange Alliance, in partnership with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, would like to invite you to participate in this wonderful and important community event.
Last year more than 1,000 friends and neighbors and over 45 teams took part in the event. Every woman is at risk of developing ovarian cancer. There is no early detection test for ovarian cancer; so many women are diagnosed when the disease is in an advanced stage. 

Ovarian cancer is more than a woman’s disease… it impacts the entire family. Actions we take together will have a direct effect on the future health of women and families in our community.

The Princeton HiTOPS Half Marathon is OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR REGISTRATION.

For the uninitiated, this is an iconic race, featuring a beautiful 13.1 mile course in the very center of historic Princeton. The race will weave past many of Princeton’s most notable and scenic landmarks, such as Albert Einstein’s house, the Princeton Battlefield, Institute of Advanced Study, Princeton University, Lake Carnegie and the Herrontown Woods.

The race will attract 1,750 runners, and several thousand spectators to the tree-lined streets of Princeton, with special weekend accommodation packages available to runners and families from out of town.

This race is managed and produced by HiTOPS, a Princeton based Adolescent Health Education and Development nonprofit.  All net proceeds from the event will go to youth programs and outreach that provide comprehensive sexuality education, promote healthy relationships and supportive connections.

Community health begins with healthy young people.

This year the date for The Polar Bear Run Walk for Autism 5K Run/1 Mile Family Fun Walk is on February 17, 2019, at JFK and the Boardwalk, 12:00 noon start. Proceeds benefit Autism Speaks, Special Services Schools, Autism Support Groups, and Families of Special Needs Children.

This unique event encourages runners and walkers of all ages to participate with their families, while supporting a worthwhile cause. Please review the event application for prize details for both men and women in the various age classifications for the 5K run. The walk is a non-competitive event.

Then join us in the HUGE HEATED tents outside La COSTA MOTEL for Live Music, an Awards Ceremony, Door-Prizes, Magicians and Face Painting, for the Kids!  All while enjoying a large Buffet consisting of: Bagels, Donuts, Pastries, Soft Pretzels, Fruit and Drinks.

RUN FOR FREE

Any runner that hits the USATF Qualifying Standards in either the 24 hour or in the 24-hour split in the 48 Hour, 72 Hour or 144 Hour events will be issued a check for the opening entry fee upon completion of the event.

Any runner looking to hit the Qualifying Standards and / or set American Records must know and follow all USATF Rules. The Rules to pay specific attention are Rules 144, 232 and 241. USATF Rule Book

A special area for these runners per Rule 241.2(e) will be near the Start / Finish.

Since the mat will be passed each time the runner circles the course, each split is thus equal to one lap. One word of caution regarding the counting of laps; Only completed laps will count towards your overall total mileage. Pacers: This is a very simple course and pacers will not be allowed. You would have to work hard to get lost and in the spirit of competition try to do your best on your own efforts. Any two or more registered runners, can run together as much as they desire. This is true no matter which race you are entered, all runners will be using the same course. Trekking Poles: No Poles Allowed. AID STATIONS: One aid station will be open from 9:00am-12:00am on Monday,6:00am-12am Tuesday,6am-12am Wednesday/9am Thurday through Sunday morning . The aid station is run by the finest crew of ultra running cooks. They will prepare an array of food that keeps you full of energy and your palate entertained. Special Veggie / Vegan foods are available through out the entire event. It will also be stocked with the usual ultra fare as well as hot and cold food for the entire event. Participants and crew will have access to prepare their own special concoctions. Access to the walk in refrigerator is available to everyone as well. Please notify Race Director if access to kitchen is wanted. PLEASE NOTE THE AID STATION FOOD IS NOT FOR CREW AND FAMILY. Also, your aid starts once your race starts and not before. This event benefits the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse and goes towards substance abuse prevention programs in Bernards Township, NJ. Come out to enjoy a fantastic event for an even more fantastic cause!  Our Lady of Perpetual Help C.Y.O will be hosting our 3rd Annual Family Fun Color Run on April 15, 2018  at Holy Cross Academy.  The Race will begin promptly at 10:00 am with same day registrations beginning at 9:00 am.  This strictly "for fun" untimed race will be a blast for the whole family.  There will be obstacles throughout the course and lots and lots of color!  The only rules are wear white and come prepared to have fun!!!!!! All participants will receive a race T-shirt as a giveaway as long as they preregister by March 25, 2018.  Same day race registrants are welcome to purchase a T-shirt on race day at a low cost.  This event has age based registration; infants and toddlers are free of charge, 3 yrs-9 yrs $10, 10 yrs- 15 yrs $15, 16 yrs and up $20. Come join us for the 3rd annual Main Street Monster Mile. A 1 mile sprint down historic Main Street in Williamstown NJ. The race is held just prior to the Halloween parade and there are plenty of cheering spectators throughout the race. This is a point to point race starting at Williamstown Shopping Center and finishing at the corner of Church and Main. There is no shuttle from start or finish. Parking at the shopping center is the best choice. There will be limited race day sign up at the start.

   It's all about TEAMWORK!  Since 2012, this fun race features teams of two people racing in competition with other similar age teams. Contestants are directed to perform a variety of mental & physical challenges (together) at multiple stops along the 1.5 mile course. How well you work together is the most important skill to winning the race.
   Walk, jog or run - yet be prepared to get a little dirty & wet. It's a great bonding experience and way more fun than a 5K race!  Waves begin every 10 minutes - kids teams, then adult teams.  

RACE INFO
1. Open to all ages - pee wees to grandparents.
2. 2 person teams - adult/adult, adult/kid or kid/kid ... kids grades K-12..
3. 2 course levels ... recreation (for leisure pace teams) & competitive (for physically active teams).  
4. 4 race divisions ... Grades K-2 / 3-5 / 6-8 / 9-Adult. 
5. 1st place medals are awarded to each division winner.  
6. Plan on 60 minutes to complete course ... race happens rain or shine.

 PEDIATRIC CANCER CHARITY PARTNER: Help us fight pediatric cancer by donating 2 pairs of used sneakers or running shoes at the race ... and receive a 2 minute time eraser token.
